Is this how it should be placed or is it backwards? The higher side is on drivers side. In front it's on passenger side ? Just got aluminum diff housing. Thanks.

Anybody tried using FID Racing aluminum housings and had trouble getting the bearings to fit in the pocket?View attachment 107498

I have not used their housing before, but two things come to mind.

If you know you have the right one for the DBXL-E 1.0 and the bearing is the right size... if can always be hard to get a new bearing into a NEW aluminum housing.

When I know all is right when it comes to metal diffs, knuckles\steering blocks, etc. I add a little lube on the outside of the bearing and the inside of the diff. I have a socket that has the same diameter as the bearing outer ream. I take a small hammer and evenly tap it until it sits flush and flat.

Warm up housing, freeze bearing. Can make big difference. Warm bearings, freeze shaft, etc. Pretty standard in large assembly process or automobiles.

Appreciate everyone's input. Got it sorted out. I got the integy offering of the aluminum diff housing and wasn't expecting much out of them. Def was ready to do a debit card charge back if needed due to everyones opinion of integy products. Was pleasantly surprised with integys offering however. Machining was on point; no play in the housing either way at all; and I paid lke 61$ shipped for both front and rear and order arrived in 3 days. Maybe integy has stepped there game up. I have ran my dbxle thru a few packs 12s monster hobby wing 560.kv big boy and everything is holding up fine. Power on demand and integys holding like a champ. They have other parts that will save cash so I will keep buying until something fails. Prob not any of there pinions or spurs but as far as I'm concerned with there price point so good I had the extra cash to buy the 560 kv hobbywing used and that was def a win for me.....
