So far mine has been trouble free, but if it shíts the bed, what is a better option for replacement?
No idea as I am still in the market for a replacement. I was going to try a heliantronics.
I have 4 of the kill switches installed with zero issues either. The only problem is the frame-rate setting on my transmitter for 5T. The kill switch did not like the lower settings , I upped the rate and works perfect. Not the switches' fault but operator error.
Frame rate? I don’t know if my tx has that…. It’s just an rc4gs

This was an older Spektrum DX3R. It took me a while to figure it out, I was ready to give up and not have the kill switch option but after having to take motor out and remove shroud to install wiring I was not going to let it beat me. I had done three others prior with no issues and was determined I would win the battle.
A couple hours and a six pack of beer later problem solved.
Maybe you could call it an alcohol related accident?

I do drink plenty of it.

Hey everybody, I'm just now getting around to getting this kill switch installed. I think I have it all set up right. Using Spektrum DX5 rugged tx. First I got a non AVC receiver, then went to connecting it all up. The Led lights up, I can shut it off with the aux. button I have it set to, LED shuts off if I turn off the tx or rx, etc. so it seems correct.
Problem is, I can't get the engine to start. It has spark if I pull the plug and ground it/pull the cord. So my question is, to rule out the switch, do I have to completely remove everything, or can I just unplug it from the harness temporarily? Do I have to disable the AVC in the TX even though its not an ACV rx?

Have dx5 with non avc reciever. MOD kill switch. Light flashes without radio on, no light with kill switch activated from radio, solid red when running. Never touched avc in radio, just ditched avc receiver for non avc receiver. Using aux 2 for kill switch, button E . Shows 1oo either to left or right of screen when button pushed, I think to right is running, red light on. This is about the best I can help being you have different kill switch. If you have a plug tester, 5 bucks at harbor freight, you can watch for spark while cycling thru button position. Lot easier to see and don't need to hold anything. Set choke after you find correct radio position, prime bulb till u see fuel in line, should pop 1st or 2nd pull. Open choke and should fire within 3 pulls or you might be fighting something else. Best of luck, hope she runs.

Small update - I was finally able to get the engine started, with the kill switch connected. Have only been able to run it with the wheels off the ground in the garage so far (been working late this week). Thank you all for the advice?
