Weather this weekend was terrible.
Off/on drizzly rain on Saturday, pouring nearly all day Sunday .... but.
DID ANYONE SEE LE MANS? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :w00t::w00t::w00t:
I started out of curiosity during the week and caught the night qualifying - each driver of each car must do 3 race pace laps .... then an Audi T-boned an Aston that had spun 2 seconds in front, going around a corner ... no injuries.
The race? Kinell is all I can say. Qualifying lap pace for 24 hours, weather and fuel load permitting - FANTASTIC racing. McNish totally nuked his Audi, and walked away - they could open and close both doors without problem!!
Then another Audi got turned in on, during the night, but this one was MORE ugly. About 300km/h instead of the McNish 140-160km/h smash (going around a corner)!! A few cuts and bruises, but no major health issues again, and the remaining Audi didn't limp to 'try to finish, but raced the Peugeots, despite Anthony Davidson and Pedro Lamy playing some dirty tactics to try and slow it into the lead following Peugeot, running #2 - DIDN'T WORK!!
Then there was Superbike, then MotoGP .... had to skip them as the wife would kill me for totally blocking the TV - had to watch a movie together!!!
Then ...
F1.
Lewis ... 'nough said. Needs to calm down, but not ....
2 hours of will they, won't they race ...
Then ... Jenson takes it on the last lap - Nappy Kraut (as I call him!!) is human after all!!
Well done Jenson, and nearly brilliantly done Schumi, ending up 4th.
GREAT WEEKEND - the Strongbows helped as well!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:
