Don't forget to WD40 the pins and bolt heads it stops rust
I take a paint brush and paint it on a little goes a long way

Great tip. Wd40 was my after run oil in my nitro engines, never thought to dab it on screw heads.

Be careful in the snow as the stock servos are not water proof. Before i installed my Killer Bee, i was snow and slush bashing and my throttle servo got wet. It started twitching and stuck about quarter throttle, just under how fast i could run. My steering also wasn't responding correctly. I had to do the fastest 100 yard dash my non-running self could do as it headed toward a brick building. Lesson learned about a kill switch, no harm no foul. I had my receiver box sealed at least.

My first three tanks I ran without a kill switch. Wasn't too worried since I was planning to get one but I just had to break in the engine and run it before I started changing things. I will say it's nice to just hit my aux on my tx and have it shutdown.

That half the reason I got this liner. I has similar issues with my servos. As soon as it see snow I use compressed air to remove all snow and water.

I really hope the liner helps with your snow issue. That's a whole lot of snow packed in to your chassis. Seeing your snow covered chassis makes me want to try my overkill cover in snow just to see how much gets in.

Well I went outside and on my second pull my pull start rope broke. Looked like I'll be pulling that out tonight to repair. I also picked up kill rc's fail safe at local hobby shop.

The killer rc failsafe is a great peace of mind. You did good purchasing one. I'm currently waiting on my bartolone clutch carrier and housing and vertigo clutch bell and pinions so I can put mine back together. Weather in the mainland is slowing down the mail :(

That's awesome! :w00t: I'm gonna say for your situation that was money well spent. Congrats! I will say you may want to divert your exhaust from the stock can. Just so your not keeping it all inside. Just a small suggestion :)

I should have my new parts today...finally. Mainland weather really slowed things down a lot. I will add pics to the first post for anyone who is interested.

Right on coldfire! I was looking into that body or just the body wrap for the stock losi body. Still haven't decided which route I want to go hahaha.

I'm going to attempt to paint my own. I paint cars for a living so I have the tool to do it
I've just never done one before.

So a quick update. In a minor oversight on my part I ordered the wrong clutch bell. I was just too excited and failed to realize that vertigo didn't make a "v2" clutch bell but two different clutch bells...one for the losi 5ive and one for the baja.

Anyways, ordered two new losi pinions and I'm going to mod the stock clutch bell to work like the vertigo. So maybe another week before I can run it again :(

For reference this is what I was dealing with...the clutch bell shaft is smaller and shorter on the baja than the 5ive.

Modded the stock clutch bell. Gonna do some test runs when I get my new pinions. For now it's very similar to the vertigo setup but we will see how the epoxy holds up. Gonna give it a good 48 hours to cure before I attempt to run it.

Epoxy??? What did you mod ??:w00t:

I modded the stock clutch bell to work like the vertigo baja clutch bell.

Here is the vertigo baja clutch bell

The vertigo bell secures the pinion with a nyloc nut and washer. I wanted the same thing but the vertigo losi bell uses a bolt and washer like the stock.

So I just ran a bolt through the backside of the stock bell, used epoxy to make sure the bolt doesn't back out and made sure the length was enough for the nyloc to secure the pinion.

are you running the gear cover on the center diff lol?

Your statement is confusing because of the lol? part but to answer your question...yes I am running the covers on the center diff and over the pinion gear. I'm not sure what your question was getting at but yes the covers are on.
