Got my Proline Desperados and Ruff Rider tires today along with a wing and mount and Vertigo axle extenders. Got 'em all hooked up took it for a real quick spin in the dark... Much quicker and faster off the line for sure!

The wing just barely clears the rear shocks and FLM tower... Love the look of the smaller tires and wider stance, but I'm not in love with the small loss of ground clearence. Guess I can take a loss of 3/4 inch of clearence for a quicker take off and better handling.

parkernt whats your opinion of the tt.i've got a rampage mt and i want a buggy...would like to keep everything redcat{one brand}...i can beat up the truck but i want best money can buy for the buggy, thanks.

I've only ran it as a TT for a minute... Just enough to tell that it has more snap to it without those huge tires.

I'm gonna hang onto the MT tires, might put some screws in 'em for snow or just keep for when I want to climb up some rocks.

I'm interested in how much faster it's gonna be when I put some buggy gears on it :D

I'm glad the FLM towers have all those adjusting holes... Realized earlier tonight that with the smaller tires the frame bottoms out on a hard landing. But, moving the little arms down one set of holes and all is fixed :D

Gonna make a new set of limiting straps that are a smidge longer to utilize all the shock travel, but I'm diggin the new buggy look and performance. Some 29/31 gears are gonna make this thing scream!!!

I was thinking that too, Hamster. I'm gonna start with 29/31 so as to be easy on the clutch. But I do like that I can swap the two if I want and take it to the next higher gearing. Thought about swapping the 25 and 35 on the MT gearing, but figured I'd burn up the clutch or have to pull it up to speed before I got on the throttle lol

The 29/31 gears should be here tomorrow!

Had to get rid of the "dogbone" limiting straps... Moved the shocks down a notch on the towers to keep the frame from bottoming out on hard landings. Had to make the limiters just a tad longer, so went ahead and bought me a blue leash to match everything else.

It's riding as high as I could get it without the drive cups binding up. The straps pull it down about a 1/4 inch, so there's no force on the shock bottoms even at full extension.

I've only had the chance to run it for a few minutes after I got them put on. I'm gonna try to get it out this weekend and really wear it out some. I think they'll be good...

I've been spending more time hoppin it up than driving it lately :( I need some good quality time with it!

Already tried swapping the 25/35 and it is a dog. the 29/31 combo is awesome and the 31/29 works ok too just not as punchy.

Ran it around for a bit tonight... pretty damn quick! On take off it left two very noticable lines in the gravel for about 40-50 feet :D faster than the 25/35 but still has plenty of tourqe.

I'm gonna try to take it out after work for some wide open parking lot running to see what she'll really do.

The Ruff Rider tires seem to have just a tiny bit of sideways flex (they feel softer than the stock MT tires), but I think they are gonna hold up pretty well.
