Well after some hard research I have come to the fact I think I am going to get (at some point) the FG monster. I am still on the fence with the 5T, though.
Here is the problem, I know what I can get with the 5T because of the amount of them in the shops. So no real confusing here.
Now with the FG, most shop in my area arent carring any in there shop because of, hard to get? Well after talking with the people at Davesmoter they answered some of the questions. But I have more.
With the FG
If you order the competition, do you get all the hop up parts? muffler, metal gears, kill switch etc...
If it doesn't come with those, what are the extras you need?
What are the best sevos and remote to fit this truck?
Is there advantage from the 4X4 truck to the competition?
Or with just some back yard bashing is 2 wheel enough?
Are these 2 speed or not. Is there advantage in having 2 speed in the 2 wheel or 4 wheel. Or is it more problems than one wants?
It is kind of tough to deside without really seeing them in action. Since I am new to the gas I am looking for some great inside info:helpsmilie:
Also at the hobby shop last week they had a used FG in there. I was banging around the idea of trading my savage in on it but with the price I got, a new 2 wheeler isnt that far off and that one had some questions with it,,,like
tires were/seemed to be flat. Is that normal? compared to the 5T (with pretty firm tires) I thought that was odd or is it normal? Saleman told me that they are like that and they ballon up to 3/4 of an inch. Also one of the axels was chewed up a bit because of the metal gears on the driver side. I guess it was a bad jump or is this a problem?
I live in the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota so anybody in the area willing to give me a crash course on these would be met with a very big smile and very pleasent person
Also anybody with some ideas, advice, knowledge of any kind, or anyone that went though the gut wrenching, excitment filled process of getting into this awesome hobby give me any ideas
