its a DOM pipe not cpi and I followed the directions and mounted the brackets where they should be or close to where should be . it almost touches the gas tank braces and about 1/4 to 1/8th of inch from gas tankSilent_chaos said:The CPI pipes come in with a L shaped steel plate that is mounted on the tank and keeps the heat of the pipe off of it.In my opinion, every pipe shld have it a plate. If the brace is the plate you're referring to, no it won't melt

So I have just got back into my mt after a year on the shelf and have treated her to a zen g290. Jet pro side exit or the demo dom side exit?..RCDAD said:Performance between the pipes will be similar. The X-can will be less. The Dominator and Jetpro both mount to the chassis.
