NEED advice from the pros! ?

Back into the RC world I go!!

I have Losi DBXL with the stock nimh receiver battery.

if I wanted to upgrade this battery to a LiPo battery would I need to upgrade any other parts? Or could I simply install the LiPo and run with it?

any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thx guys!

Welcom bud??? you need high voltage servos when you want to run with a lipo.
Low voltage will not take the extra voltage and burn??

You could run Lipo with a BEC.
It'll keep Lipo battery output to 6v.

Understood! Thank you, I’ll definitely take a look into some servo upgrades that will accommodate the extra power and soon a engine upgrade! lol at that point the servo would probably have more hp than the stock DBXL engine...

Would the addition of a LiPo and a BEC increase the servo speed? Or would it remain the same?

Surely it would increase run time correct?

You could try LiFe batteries. The voltage is lower, more power than NiMh, and doesn't burn like LiPo.

in hindsight...youll need one of these in order to run a larger rx battery as well...fits stock battery box lid is just much taller.

I ran a killer lipo on stock servos with no problem although I didn't use the dbxl much before I sold it

I have jumbo savox servos, run on a killer lipo. No issues here
