Owner gave me a call and told me the following.

-Close choke, try to start. It should sounds like it wants to start, but won't. Then open choke and it should start right up.

That is not the case.

They said I may have flooded the engine. So I took out the plug, turned the car upside down and nothing came out. Pulled plug out and pulled the pull start, nothing came out.

I verified the plug is good, it does spark.

I primed the bulb and it is filled with full. I've tried with choke open and closed. I'm pulling and pulling but keep getting nothing. I have been trying with the throttle at idle and full open.

As far as I can tell, there still is no fuel in the engine.

Any tips?

what kind of 2 stroke oil you using?..The is quality oil and there is junk oil....
klunker in the fuel tank clogged? take each line loose from carb..1 at a time blow back thru the line
is there air bubbles in the fuel tank?...Pin hole in fuel line?Kinked fuel line?
Even tho you have spark...change the plug with a new one....may look ok ..but could be weak spark from that plug....
exhaust not plugged with any thing?
clean airfilter?
Is the any chance of any crap on the carb needles?..take out and wipe off needle tip
I like to set my carb for a base setting of H 1 1/2 out from close L 1 1/4 out from close
only 2 other things I can think of is pulse hole plugged up...behind the carb...
or screen in bottom of carb plugged...as to not getting fuel....
Those are the things I would check out...
Oh check your vet line is not clogged....#1 culpert for not starting.......Slawhammer

Alright, got it to the point that its sputtering like its flooded with the choke open.

I already flipped it over with the plug out and pulled the cord. Also blew through the lines, they're good.

Plug sparks exactly like it should. The bent end of the tip is dark black.

adjust the L in 1/8 turn to get some rpm's....Slawhammer

Ok, well I took the high and low out to make sure they were clean. They are. I see what you put about H 1 1/2 out and L 1 1/4 out. To do that do I turn them all the way in so the spring is all the way compressed and then turn them out the amount stated?

as for adjustments...turn in easy until you feel the needle stop ..then back out
the number of turns...H 1 1/2 L 1 1/4 that is the base setting....once started
adjust the L in about a 1/8 turn for more rpms....then drive the car...make a high speed
pass bring back to you and shut off..with out idling..check the plug for color...
if black adj L in 1/16 turn...make another high speed pass...bring in again ckeck plug for color...you want to see light brown......keep doing it until you do....if you see gray or white
your too lean back the H screw out a 1/16....you want to look at the ceramic part of the plug.....Hope that helps....Slawhammer

Thanks. I had to take a break last night, my arm was killing me and I started to get a cut on my hand, lol.

I'll give it another shot when I get home from work today.

learned years ago to ware a glove...even from old airplane days..prop kick back will cut ya up good...asto theres Rc cars & trucks the T handles have some sharp edges....
With new engine's not broke in yet the compression is a killer...I always use a glove
till the engine loosen's up a little....after second gallon of fuel ..I don't need the glove any more.....Slawhmmer

WOW, THESE TRULY ARE EASY TO START!!!

All you have to do is know what the hell you're doing.

So, today I took the plug out, turned it over and pulled the pull start about 3-4 times. Turned the H and L 1 1/4 out. Primed the bulb. Set the choke closed. Pulled once, heard it try to start. I then opened the choke, pulled 2 times with the throttle wide open and it fired right up!!!!

I'm freaking stoked. Only thing now is getting it tuned. I ran it for about 15 mins playing around with the tuning, but I seriously don't know what I'm doing. I'm going to have to take it out to a field where I can really let her rip so I can get her tuned right. Gotta take the time to pull the plug like you suggested slaw.

Here's something I think I may have learned. Leaning out doesn't necessarily make the car faster. I tried that and it actually ran slower, a lot slower actually.

I'm pretty sure its not tuned correctly right now as its going no more than 15mph, but it has gobs of low end torque.

Ok good you got it fired up...how is the idle?adjust the L in a tad to bring it up in RPM's
up.....Now adjust the H in 1/16 turn..run it high speed pass..shut off..don't let idle..
check plug...If still black..turn in H another 1/16 ...make high speed pass a couple times
..shut off again..not to idle check plug again for color.....you want between black and brown more brown looking on the cermic part....when brown..stop there your good...
You may have too turn in the big fat screw at the bottom..that is the idle screw...,,
go slow you will get it...your doing better..........when in you have trouble or add a new exhaust pipe..you have to start over again from base settings....H 1 1/2 L 1 1/4 and go from ther again.......Slawhammer

I am not sure about the oil you are using.....I like KLOTZ 2 stroke oil....
as long as it is a good quality it should be ok.....Cvcle shops are best gor good quality 2 stroke oil........Slawhammer....
