Hello all well I just replaced my carb with a walbro 998 and a new servo as both took a dump but anyways got it up running great smashing around for about 45 minutes then all of a sudden you has it and it's revving up like it should be but the back tires do not move but you can turn then freely and I checked the dog bones that go to each side and then two are good no broken pins so next question is any thought on wat it could be I'm a newbie n now lost any help appreciated oh and this is on a dunerunner

Check the dogbone that connects the center diff to the rear diff. One of those dogbone cups could be loose, or the dogbone itself could be missing a pin.

Well thanks deluge for that info I thought that the main dogbone was missing and after I read your post just now I looked again to make sure and took a light n looked and it snapped at the main part under the motor so to replace this dogbone do I have to take motor out or how thanks

You can either pull the engine out, or you can remove the whole rear diff housing. Removing the diff housing would be the easiest way. I believe it's just six screws from the bottom of the chassis, and four from the rear top plate and it'll slide right out.

Here's the link to the manual:

Dunerunner Manual

The info you need is on page 10.

If you're doing a lot of jumping with it, try not to land with the throttle pegged. That's usually the cause of broken dogbones. Other times it's just a freak occurrence.

Not a problem, man. Glad to help.

Well guys I have a bigger problem then just the center rear dogbone breaking.. On the center differential where the gears are I snapped off that piece flush whole thing missing.. I don't know how to post up a picture so if anyone has a email I can send them it to post greatly appreciated

Yea the cup with the small Allen key hole your talking about is replaceable correct? Well of so it snapped behind that on the main shaft part where the bearing sits on

Well ok I gave it a complete bath lol... So I installed te parts n put them all back how I tore it apart but have a issue... So I pulled the shaft with the ring and ect alma out so I can change the shaft part n I lined the plastic pieces back n the holes lining them up and putting all the screws into where they belong. So I started it and then it sounded great knowing that when I turn the wheels manually when the RC is off the drive shaft dog bone does not turn so I took it back apart n loosened up the gear on the shaft n tryed it again and still same results a wine noise when I give it had revving it up n it's coming from the gear area so what did I do wrong

So how tight shall those 6 I believe nuts on the shaft holding the gear ring on be as I hand tighten them but I suppose I do it again a little looser and lee you guys know the results thanx for the info
