Im 41 and remember it well, signed up for the Army shortly afterwards. Im close enough that we could see the smoke from across the sound. I still don't think we got the people responsible. The Saudis did that and we should've wiped the royal family from existence.

Couldn't imagine being there that day, something you can never get over. What's everyone's thought on it? For me i think something wasn't right about it all. Don't seem right to be honest. Solid engineered steel buildings coming down from aluminium planes, even with the jet fuel burning its not enough for that to end the way it did ??‍♂️. Maybe its just me I dunno.

They later found out the construction company that built them used much lower quality materials and one of the major flaws was they were supposed to be fire retardant and were not up to code.

The problem is we are fighting a war where no one follows the rules except us.I am not saying go out and kill women and children but that wasn't aimed at the armed forces. Those were working class people showing up every day to do their 9-5

I remember waking up to news on tv and couldn't believe it. I wanted to hop the train to the city to see but knew that wouldn't accomplish anything. The whole thing was utterly shocking and almost impossible to believe. The evidence after all was said and done was even more shocking, things didn't add up,but that's another thread.??

I'm 34, I was at school in an English lesson with the radio on when we heard about it, was just before lunchtime here. I went home for lunch and my mam had the news on the tv, I spent 45 mins just staring at the tv in disbelief, saw the second plane hit the tower live on the news.
Never forget that day, although it was across a very big bit of water I felt very vulnerable that day.
As for the theories and reasons the towers dropped I don't think we will ever find out who and why.

This is so true. Even when the wars kicked off the ROE were so strict we could barely fight. That changed during the 2007 surge and we kicked their asses in about a month. Then we got a new president who went back to hobbling his war fighters. It was a true shame and cost alot of lives. That was when I got out. Im not gonna fight for a man that won't let me fight back. Its a shame we didn't have Trump as commander in chief. It would've been a much shorter war because we would've been able to fight to win. Radicalized islamists have such pure hatred for western culture that you will only win after you kill em all. You can't reason with somebody willing to make his wife, and young daughter strap on a suicide vest. These people are very dedicated to their cause. In a strange way you almost have to admire it. I don't think ive ever believed in anything that much.

61, was working construction site and seen Fighter planes fly over then remembering the absence of plane wash streaks were all gone the skies was so blue.
