Hey guys, I'm new to this site, and new again to the hobby. I'm in the market for a 1/5 scale gas rc truck(4wd). Can you tell me what options there are. I only found a few. Thanks for your help

Losi DBXL 5ive-B 5ive-T MCD makes a few Kraken makes the Vekta and TSCO truck and HPI Baja. There are more I am sure but those are probably the most common. The MCD's are more expensive but they are top of the line and the Losi's except for the DBXL are the best bang for your buck. The Baja has the biggest market for parts and has the biggest community most likely but they can't be bought new anymore.

Yep, only option for the Baja is rovan (if you wanna buy new). Hpi is making a comeback (I'm starting to see parts come back in stock) but brand new, in stock ,bajas are still far out imo .

I'll be taking a losi 5T out of a box very soon , just waiting for the mailman ( and availability ) already thinking of upgrading the motor clutch and carrier , first thing that comes to mind is , how to sell the stock motor , to be able to easier afford the batolone , I wouldn't want to end up with a bunch of extras , like with my darn Harley , can't sell any of the arts I replaced , I've tried , but anyways , what do guys do with there replaced brand new motors , I wonder if the five is available in a roller kit

It is ok a few of us have them but after you finish upgrading it to be dependable you are almost paying the same as what a 5ive would cost you.The 5ive-T is probably the best but I prefer the 5ive-B just because it gives you the option of building it yourself and you can skip the Spektrum radio and buy a Futaba to start and do things right and only once.I may be wrong on the radio though I am unsure if the 5ive-t comes with a transmitter.

For losi DBXL money I'd get same as my truck, the 30 Degrees north truck, its a 5T clone but parts are 100% compatible plus it'll leave you a fair chunk of coin to some upgrades if you felt the need.
