Hello all. Finally got my new Samba pipe. It is black powder coated. Should I oiled it on first run? Or also every other run? What about the stuff that somebody wraps around it? What is it for? Only looks or there are benefits from it?

A powder coated pipe doesn't need to be oiled as it's not going to protect the paint, you only oil for raw pipes. The wrap that is used is a fiberglass heat insulation material which only protects things close to the pipe from heat and not the pipe itself so it's pointless. A hot exhaust will help burn what the engine could not, also a hot pipe helps with increased exhaust velocity but for this application I doubt it will increase performance to the point its noticeable.
