I looked through the stickies, and didn't see anything so I figured I'd just ask. I did pick up my SS yesterday, and man are these things a blast, truly a whole other level of the hobby.

I did have a couple of issues though

1. The stock SS pipe kept coming apart at where the silencer goes into the header. I safety wired it, is there a better way of fixing that?

2. My rear plastic skidplate popped off on a landing, and appears to have cracked the rear body clip hole vertically, unless it's made that way? It's a really clean crack if it's cracked, almost looks cut.

3. What do I need to do after running this thing as far as engine maintenance? (I know the car needs cleaned :D) I mean, does any of the nitro car stuff apply here? I'm guessing not, but just want to make sure so I can take good care of it.

Thanks guys

And a pic from yesterday (still gotta paint the body)

1-Put a jubilee clip over the clamp on the joint.
2- Drill the peg(or whats left of it) out and replace with a small bolt and nut.
3- Clean the filter with the petrol/oil mix you use for the car.As with nitro's,you have no need to use after run oil.
Check all nuts/bolts for tightness.Recharge batteries for next run and inspect the wiring looms.
Thats about it really.

Awesome, thanks for all the info Voodoo. I had to google what a jubilee clip was :D , I was wondering yesterday if one of those would work.
