One thing after the next with this DBXL. Today at the track, after about 5 or 6 laps, my throttle servo was acting weird, almost like it was not returning to centre off throttle. Pulled into the pit and it stopped working completely. Had to switch to the stock muffler due to noise issues at local track so I figure the servo was getting hotter than it did with my header wrapped Bartolone. I think the higher voltage of the lipo has something to do with it too. Gonna run a regulator from now on. Got back on the track (after the servo cooled) did a few more laps then WHAM!! Rear end collapsed cuz the rear hinge pin carrier ripped out of the gear box!! All I did was land a double jump. Normally, the fix for that is run a nut/bolt from from to rear thru the gear box. Problem, gear box to chassis screws run directly up thru the path of a front to rear bolt :/ F my life lol. Gonna run a thicker self tapping screw that's a size bigger or definitely a more coarse and a wee bit longer thread. There are other dbxl's at the track that tumble, crash, nose dive all over the friggen place, here I am, getting around just fine, not one single crash and I break before any of them:/ not looking for any condolences or anything, just sharing my experience and things to watch out for on your own rides. The pic is prior to the rear end issue lol

Ya I was at rc acres. Surprised how muddy it was even tho there was only a few moist spots. I've seen two other dbxl's. One from last week that the driver was TRYING to break it to test durability. He lasted the whole day:/ I said to him today "shoulda let ME drive it!! The thing crumbles with me at the wheel:/" lol. There's 12 dbxl's registered for the race series but not too many have shown up yet. The first points race is next weekend. I hope to get things sorted out by then.

Don't you have it how things work sometimes? I drop my cell phone all the time.... Heck I even jumped my 5ive into it while my brother recorded a jump, nearly fractured his wrist! But the phone is fine, dripped another of my street bike doing 100+mph and it only cracked the screen, but I drop my wife's phone from pocket height and it's toast screen and all there went 600 that could have been spent on 5ive parts! :-( sometimes things land just right to ruin your day sorry about your bad luck streak just can't let it deter you from the hobby!

No no, I'm familiar with how this sickness, I mean hobby works. Just getting the bugs worked out of a vehicle that's new to us. When it's working, it's working GOOD!! But right now, good race results will come with actually FINISHING the race.
