was a nice car with some nice rare parts you don't see that often the wheels i liked still be here for the sake of a 30-40quid killswitch gutted i wont run without one and i double check it before running and after

He said that the battery disconnected from the receiver. How would a 3rd channel kill switch have saved it with no rx power? Honest question here, I don't own a remote kill switch but I was under the impression that it would receive power from the rx.

That's the reason I got myself one, I had a run away and mine stopped when it hit the side of a factory and there wasn't a lot left to rebuild ;) I had a nice pile of bent alloy to use as a paper weight

Didn't seem to be 'travelling' that much when the battery disconnected - thus no radio control.
Quite amazed at the damage.

That was the one 'new' shell I singled out as 'really quite a nice job' .... !!

Sad really.
Quite informative as to how much more grip you get once the tyres bed in and warm up.

I normally stop way before that, as I don't trust myself .... !!

Defo got to find him mate, and looks like you've a ready-made fellow local enthusiast!!

Not bragging, but reckon my Macca shell's better than his was!!!:lol:

Al.

And alot of people think it wont happen to them and they
think there setup is fine without one... Your very very wrong!

I will never run my baja without one!

Shame on the dude, that was a nice setup he had.

i ran with a kill switch for the first time yesterday lets just say it upped my confidence level of what i could do with the baja since i have owned it. took it farther out then i ever have and i also was jumping it harder then before as i knew something like this wasnt going to happen to me

Lol yeah you test to see how far it can go when the
switch is fitted, i did that and it killed the engine then
it took me like 7ish min to get it back :)

That's a shame. :( A Super Bee would have definitely killed the engine once the battery came unplugged. If you want to see just the crash fast-forward to 4:50.

Yeah I've more than enough run aways with my maxx to make the decision to get a super bee easy, especially since sometimes all be driving around my dogs and other times in front of a bunch of people at an mx track.. would be super embarrassing to have that happen in front of a crowd. Just waiting to get my new radio to be able to use it.

If I hook it up to my traxxas link system what will happen? I mean I know it says incompatible but will it not let my truck run or will it just not work as it should? Hate having nice parts laying around and not installing them haha.

I have a KM, not sure of the radio. It is the stock radio with the large display. Do you know if it works with the super bee switch?

With a 3+ channel Traxxas radio the Super Bee will definitely let your engine run. Plus you could kill the engine on command by pressing the Aux button. Or if the battery comes unplugged, or low voltage, etc. Thats the easy part.

The hard part is what happens if you have a radio glitch. Some traxxas receivers continue to send a good signal to the kill switch during a radio glitch, so theres no way for the kill switch to know that a glitch is happening, so it would just let the engine run. I haven't tested all Traxxas radio models cuz they have a zillion different radios. Same thing with the HPI 2 channel 2.4ghz radio that comes with the HPI Baja.

BTW, we also make a nitro kill switch called the Bumble Bee, if you want to put a kill switch on that T-maxx of yours. ;)

Many of our customers have told me that our Super Bee works great with the newer KM radios, but I'm not sure about the older radios, and what model numbers.

The car wasn't traveling that fast when the first crash happened. Then the battery came unplugged and then the throttle went full speed until it hit something hard.

hm, I only have a 2ch system so I won't be able to manually shut the engine off at all I assume. I understand what you mean about the good signal thing, before I realized it had a built in fail safe I tried to run an ofna one on it on my maxx but it wouldn't do anything. I'll hook it up tomorrow and see how it behaves and let you know... I feel like I'm riding a fifty cent hooker bare back without the switch and it's too bay my new radio won't be here for another week and a half..

What model of 2 channel? Some 2 channel radios will work with the Super Bee. You just have to flip a dip switch to turn off the Aux mode. You would then kill the engine by turning off the transmitter power. Unless you have a 2 channel HPI radio. There's nothing that will work with that radio.

All my stuff runs on Futaba. Works perfectly with a Super Bee.

But if you can't afford that then look into a FlySky gt3b. They work with the Super Bee too.
