Spent a month in half cleaning and upgrading my 5ive t and now I'm hesitant to take it out and get it dirty. Should I put on the shelf and never take it out, should I trailer it to rc shows and put some chairs around and drink? with strangers. What do you guys suggest?

Yep I know what you mean... you just have to find the proper way to clean it (y)...I was an air compressor and dry silicone...I take the wheels off and spray them down with something like simple green and hose them off. I believe @John Parks has an excellent way of cleaning his rigs as he has driven things that look like they never been started ever. Maybe he has some good cleaning advice

First off, everything rattles loose at some point. So going through the truck frequently is a must. Use that time to clean it. Secondly, not to be hash but what is the point of a shelf queen? It's not like your displaying the hope diamond or anything it's a 3k toy at best. In my humble opinion to make shelf queen status the item should have history to it, depth to it's being. There should be a moment in time or moments to look back upon. Idk I say use it and display it when it's beat up and you have stories behind each scuff and scrape.

Idk about you but 3k is far off from the 8k I have invested in my 1/5. And mine holds plenty sentimental value being my first build along with my forum mates. Some are just more passionate about the hobby and their builds than others. Many people collect without any intent of use. My next build if it turns out the way I hoping, it will be a 7k+ true shelf queen,...theirs some things you just don't bash

Agreed ????

Nice truck! How do you get the turtle racing filter box screws from coming loose?

I’ve retightened 3 times with blue lick right and no luck... went with red gel LT yesterday let’s see how it goes.
