You get only what could be considered a slight improvement from the better combustion process and cleaner burn properties. I know most here would disagree but I build numerous 2 stroke engines for all types of vehicles and for almost all the engines I build I run 40:1, our engines despite the fact that they rev higher (only by a slight amount over a race prep 250r) do not need the higher oil mix for proper lubrication. I have run my FG for a long time at 40:1 more than three gallons worth and not a problem yet, (other than the recent crap out on the carb!) I will however really impress upon you to run synthetic oil only at anything above 32:1 the lubricity of synthetic oil far supercedes dino oil. I personally prefer Royal Purple oil but, do not use it as break in oil!!! nothing will seat. Hope this helps.
