Here's my FTS Punisher I've paid £65 for this and £9 for charger.
Am looking at making it into a off road police truck. So looking for tips on lighting and body shell conversion. So it will look like the off road police truck attached in photos

£65 !!! Now thats a bargain. As for lights , what do you want? LED flashing , rotating? If you type in ebays search bar LED RC lights there are a multitude of them.

Very nice vehicle I wish you lots of luck.
I've been into 5th scale since 2016.
I joined the forum in March of 2017.
It is a great hobby, I enjoy working on them as much as running them.
The only thing I job out now is painting, not a big fan of wraps and decals.
"FOOD FOR THOUGHT" It is very hard not to be tempted to run your new vehicle in front of your house even for a second.
"DON'T DO IT" I just broken in the motor on my new Vekta 5 at one of my safe location spots.
At home I put in a fresh spark plug and proceeded to fine tune the motor in front of the house.
My first run at full throttle ended up in a head on collision with a car that came out of nowhere.
I totaled my Vekta 5 and payed for the damage to the car I hit. Your car insurance will not cover you for this type of accident.
See the pictures of the Vekta 5 and the car I hit, since this is the picture page. Total cost for the car was $800.00 and I new Vekta 5 $1499.00. I was able to salvage the motor and some undamaged parts that I will post on E-Bay to recover some of my losses.
P.S. My Losi 5ive-T in my profile pic. Was run over by a car in front of my house when I was stopped at I four way intersection.
The driver was texting and cut into the on coming lane were I was stopped. I posted those pictures a while ago.
I have learned the hard way, run at safe locations only and save yourself a lot grief and money.

MARLEY76 - Yep, already looking at a tunes pipe and some other upgrades. Will run it stock for a few then start upgrading.

William - Sorry to hear about the Vekta and the car accident. Glad no one was hurt (except the pocket book). My LHS has a track for 8th scale and I plan on running it there during the break-in stages. Then I will head up north to some open areas we have in Boulder/Fort Collins.
 
The list of replacement parts is over a $1,000.00.
Body panels and roll cage gone, motor damaged can be salvaged with parts, dominator pipe, front wheels, shocks, arms, bumper, bottom plate and more.
I would be a head buying the Vekta 5 kit.
P.S. my air bags never deployed Ha Ha.
Rear end parts are sellable on eBay.
I believe this is my best move.
I cannot answer your question how did this happen, it just did.

yeah i meant like did ur servo get stuck on or something like that... and suppose its better been your 1:1 car it hit than a neighbour or a member of the publics... they make a pretty good mess of wotever they hit these 1/5th rcs... and its for this kind of reason i use a park or large open spaces.. if that rc wot you got was mine mate i would be gutted... hope it all gets fixed up inc the 1:1 car.....

Hi, i have beeon our for the last five years I think..... just one day thought of looking around the storage and found my old baby, Rovan 5b, my very first one.... fired the engine and was surprised it started... now starting to tore it down and rebuild it for proper maintenance.... will post pics soon..............
