First start up cold engine, primer works engine starts, 1/4 or 1/2 way though tank of gas primer is almost empty. Shut it off primer won't reprime. Next day primer will be full again. Whats your thoughts thanks...obr Reed case with a 990 carb and how accurate is it by watching the primer level as for as tune goes. Fuel lines r good gonna try an extra carb I got here.

Get a new isolator block for the carb ??
While you’re at it, upgrade your fuel lines and inline filter ???

Edit: isolator is warped or you have a bad vacuum and need to check your lines. Posting a video will help a lot

I believe so...I bought it used still trying to sort it out and not blow it up yet lol. It seems pretty strong though.

Are you sure that the fuel lines are in their proper place?
Try switching them around an see if it makes a difference!...

Watching the fuel bulb is only good to see if the carb is picking up fuel. You mention this thing is used. How long has it sat? Arw you sure you don't have any pinholes in the fuel lines, and that the clunk has enough line attached to move around with the fuel? Have you cracked the fuel tank cap and heard it suck air in after it "runs out" of fuel. Could be a bad tank vent. Of the engine works like it should till you run it out of fuel then the carb itself should be fine, and I would suspect your iso block is fine as well. This is a fuel supply issue imo.
