Too use the 2spd set up..you need a longer lay shaft....You also need to use the Fg Clutch housing....To set the large engine mount in to the clutch housing....there is a
2mm difference.....You need the modified cut Fg housing......Look at the 2spd stuff
from hobby tech..Germany....e-mail wolf gang there he will help ya out on the longer
layshaft...Slawhammer

does the brace line up to the 3 holes Voo? I still think it looks off. your shaft is long enough, so it's something else (sounds like a porno commentary)...

I have been mixing and matching motor side plates and motor mounts and I have to rip 2 of my rides apart to swap a couple of those around due to the way things are lining up

But you can't use on/road engine mount in a off road....won't work....
I spent couple days doing a search on the 2spd stuff......And pipe you have used the 2spd in your semi.....so you know about the engine mounts & gear plates....Slaw

oh ya. and there are different side plates, different motor mounts large and small. I used an off road large motor mount in the car I just built, and had to use a spacer under the brace... on road is taller. I mixed fg and fh side plates/motor mounts up when installing. now one layshaft mesh is too tight and the other had to use a larger lay gear to get close... only way to learn is experiment.

I also had to file a brace on an angle as the holes didn't line up, which is why I mentioned about that last pic. looks like what I ran into. I know I used all fg side plate and large motor mount in vw. (duratrax small motor mount is fine though, cheap way to get an aluminum mount). solo small motor mount is way different

Sorted boys! The centrifugal clutch (the one with the claw) was on the shaft too much. I pulled it apart and re-aligned it .Ok now.
Thanks for your help.
J.
