Quick question for those smarter than me (read: everybody)...

a buddy of mine cut a notch in his MT truck bed to pull the starter handle through and hook it on the outside of the truck... sure does seem to be nice not to have to pull the body off to re-start your truck.

So, my question is this... is that going to hurt anything to have the handle pulled out a few inches at all times? Is there anything else yall do to avoid having to remove these damn pins and pull the body off every time you want to re-start?

Thanks for any input you can provide.

you would need a pretty quick drill and to start it the drill would have to go counter clockwise

What I'd like to know if someone could help. If you did make some sort of extender for your pull start would you need to put a longer cord on it also

No the standard length rope or cable is plenty long. It's only about 6". When starting you don't pull the entire length out.
