Pull Start Resistance

I have an original HPI Baja 5SC, the pull starter is it normal to build up a resistance after 4-5 pulls

Should feel the same for every pull.

Unless it's flooded/head is full of fuel,then it gets hard to pull.
Pop off spark plug and drain excess fuel.Tilt engine around to get fuel out,including exhaust.?

After the engine is primed you will feel a slight resistance on the pull start from the pressure buildup in the engine. ( totally normal) ??
After you feel this pressure the engine usually starts right after ???


The first 2-3 pulls tend to have No pressure on the pull start feeling
