Quick release cage mount solution/ ideas?

I have a metal hinged cage on my Baja, I drilled out couple of the rivets and now use a couple of very large R clips, 4 clips and the cage is mostly removed leaving just the very rear section above the exhaust.
You could do something similar, have a look at my avatar pic, you should be able to see the large R clips.
