I just read Futaba doesn't recommend using R304SB receiver for gas powered vehicles. Anyone using this receiver and does it work fine? My bad I was looking at the wrong model.

That's what I have in mine. I don't know why it wouldnt work.

I have one too, works fine. Even with the often maligned dynamite kill switch.?

There are two models of the same receiver one is slightly different and made for electric. We have gas powered model. I screwed up and read about electric receiver.

Knew someone would say that. There a R304SB-E T-FHSS receiver that I mistook for R304SB T-FHSS. As you can see the E is for electric not gas powered.
