does any1 know anything about the knock off dominator pipes? i am looking to fit a pipe 2 an xb and was wondering if the knock off pipes are just as good power wise. its made out of steel and looks just like the dom pipe. any thoughts or knowledge would be excellent. thanks:cool:

as long as they offer the power increases itd b ok cuz i can get a knock off for half the price as the dom pipe so if it gets a few dents its not a big deal. plus im custom fitting it so i can make it either fit in2 a protected area or make a cage for around it. thanks for the input. much appreciated.

i contemplated getting the redcat pipe cause of its price but since speaking with the guru's here I ended up getting the jetpro. Love this thing! Quality is top notch! Think about this to, you spent $600+ on your rc car (probably) why not fork out the extra amount to get a pipe that has been tested and proven to work with your rc.

I found the stock engine along with the XT gearing to lack the mid / high end on my model. Jetpro opened it up. Would highly recommend.

Because of the thinner grade steel they will melt and brake just from the running and the heat!!!!!!!!!!!!
the pipe will melt? really? figured being steel i wouldnt hav that problem. ive run the stock pipe tank aftervtank and it hasnt melted and its aluminum so i didnt think it would b possible for the steel 1 to melt. i just want the power addon but i don't hav the $175+ for the jetpro or dom not to mention spending that kind of money and then just cutting it up!

The stock pipe on the xb does melt I am not sure how many tanks you have rand through it but I and anybody else on this forum will tell you that the aluminium pipe are thin and no good and they will and do melt if you have not yet it will and break. That is the same material that the king motor pipe is made out of I have a king motor T1000 with the same pipe that you are asking about and yes it melt and broke also just from running not being bang or abused the same as with the XB pipe!!!!!!! They are all no good as any of the quality pipes that you named but you don't want to pay for!!!!!!!!!!

That is the same pipe king motors rovan rc the upgraded redcat are all the same pipe I have had them all all of them are in pieces now the one you link is the same pipe that I had on the king motor t100 and they all are thin melt and break but if you feel that this is not the same then ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your not gonna melt a steel pipe. Break is another story. Check ebay cause you can get the knock off rear DOMs even cheaper. Not condoning it just saying. I got a knock off cheap second hand because I was gonna just chop and mod it, but didn't yet. Mine doesn't look exactly like your link tho, but similar shape. Actually I don't think that one mounts the same as the DOMs see here. This is how it should mount.

All I can say is mine is made solid with some sloppy welds, but don't know about the new style Rovan pipes.

The one you show in the link is like the V1. I have that exact pipe. I found mine on eBay for 20 bucks. No kidding! So look around. It is steel and I had no problem welding mine. It did not fit as good a I hoped, but I makes great power. Everyone needs to understand that a knock off is sometimes the exact same thing and sometimes less quality it's a gamble. When an American company has a product made in china, china has every right to sell the product on the side. American patents do not apply in china. Any way enough of the politics, here is a photo of what I did.
