I have the same issue with WOT. Although I don't believe this is my problem since it is new, I would like to eliminate the easy fixes. Can you just pop off the gas tank grommet and reinstall or is there a hidden gotcha?

My understanding is that the grommet is there to stop fuel from reaching the venting hole on the cap (hence the inward conical shape). The tiny hole in the middle still allows for venting.

Me, I just made the hole bigger, put a fuel line through it connecting it to the cap with a inline fuel connector. It has been working great! Just me though.

Thanks. Gas cap vent is next on the list but I was wondering about the fuel line grommet. Is it easy to pop off and back on?

Easy enough with appropriate force with a screw driver. You don't wanna poke it though.

if you lube up the grommet with a little 2 stroke oil it makes it much easier to reinstall.
