Well it arrived today. I took a couple pics... Came with everything but radio. Battery and wall charger, plug wrench, wheel wrench, allen wrenches, extra gears and there's even a keychain in the manual bag with the linkages...

The car comes with cvd's all around, I expected dogbones actually. Th pipe will be the first thing to replace but I have to find one that fits.

The wheelbase is very close to my Semi as you can see in the pics, and even the VW would fit if the front bumper was removed. Tires seem pretty sticky but the inserts are kind of soft for me. It uses FG Squares so I will experiment a bit there too.

I weighed the car and without body comes in at 20 lbs... I wieghed it on the house scale by itself and with me holding and stepping on the cage (man I have gained a lot of weight this year LOL, bloody potbelly time)

Still not sure about paint... I still have to spray the VW even. I was going to paint today when I got home from the graveyard shift... then sold a 1/8 buggy to a guy in Greece. Had to get it ready to ship. Tracking said they rescheduled for tomorrow delivery. As I was packing the buggy, the doorbell rang. She made me come get it from the truck and said if I get any bigger rc's that she would have to open and drive them to my house LOL

I love my postal lady, she's a howl. Be buying her something for Christmas this year.

I do have a nice blue, chrome and flaming orange for the airbrush, but have silver and black in rattle cans to work with... who knows. I was watching videos from auto shops on painting techniques and have far too many ideas in my head... I'll sit down and google scuby pics and see what strikes my fancy

Nice Barry.

glad you got it. It looks a little odd with the small wheels and the semi body. LOL

Ya Chris, just trying to decide what other bodies will fit. The Redcat bodies tend to be brittle. 535mm is close... It's a 510mm wheelbase... just measured

so.... 510mm

and the austin mini is 515... that's about my choices for replacement

ya the new one, but it'd be 5mm too long. I might have a porsche locally, just waiting on a reply. his prices are cheap. he sells tires too. used to be the Dynamic distributor way back. we just hooked up recently. he runs lauterbachers himself and has fg and lauter wheels, tons of stock, and about 7 bodies left over from the days...

just thinking about down the road, you know... I have spent too much lately... got my rc motorcycle this week too. nitro 1/5. another deal I couldn't pass up... bud saw it on craigslist and showed me... it was almost half price for a new one so I jumped.

And I want to toss out props to Scott at Vancouverhobbies.com for the rally. he shipped it fast and his prices are good. He is a big reason I got another Redcat. Awesome guy to deal with

Barry "a quick splash job" That looks killer!! That would have taken me 3 months..

I like the way you painted the subaru logo in the doors. Did you airbrush that?

Chris

All done with masking tape and free hand. The logo I printed out on paper and held to the side of the car for reference. I went to Lordco and picked up 3 different thickness' of masking tape. Taped the chrome places first then taped right over that tape for the blue stuff. I had to fix the odd bit when I removed the tape to spray the blue, but otherwise it worked out really well... no close up pics, not showing the bleeds ;)

Very well done my friend....I know taping & masking is a female dog to do at times...
But the end is all worth it....Again very well done....Slawhammer

Trying to figure out what pipe to get for this thing. so far the TGN side pipe seems to be the best fit, or maybe the jetpro dual side bleed and plug one hole (or use a silicone deflector)

I just got rid of the mt so will have some money to blow on a pipe and another radio. I have another bike coming, older FM1E thunder tiger electric. was mine and coming back again.
