I made some side guards. I saw Ryuken's and got the idea, I just used aluminum channel instead, and ran some door weather stripping down the side to protect the body

Thanls BTB. they fit bang on and hold the body fairly tight. sure makes it easier carrying it around... well today I start the strip down. gone as far as I can go with the others until parts come and waiting for a reply from Himoto about the alloy parts.

Made up the mind, next body will be the mini. I will just mod the arms for the wheelbase

The bumper is too short for the body, it should be a fairly tight fit. so for now I just grad some packaging foam, an exacto, shoe goo and some tape... I just mounted the body, tipped on it's side and cut foam to fill the gap. then I glued it on the front of the other chunk of foam. I didn't have a large chunk so I cut up what I had here. Just waiting for the glue to dry now

I stripped most of the car down last night and put it back together. They must use drills to install some of these screws. Many plastic parts the threads were stripped. I had little plastic helicoils on the table as I went and I had to shoe goo the screws back in a few places.

I saw people complain about steering knuckles stripping out, but I believe now they were stripped during installation at the factory (I hate rtr kits). I hope mine last the first time out. I only removed one side and had to glue it together. I'll look at getting alloy ones but even the plastic would be fine if not over tightened.

I took some pictures but it was a long night. eyes were closing as I put back together. have to run out shortly to turn in my signed criminal record search for a new contract.

all in all, I am liking the car a lot, but the factory builders use way too much torque putting screws into plastic. oh and this car doesn't have the upgraded motor side plate, so I am going to bug mooman to sell me one of his upgrade kits he has for sale ;)

I stuck my semi wheels on for a giggle but the offset made it really wide. otherwise they fit no problem

I see no problems touring car wheels fitting. I'll have to borrow a set to try though when I hook up with someone. I hope so, the inserts in these things are really soft

I got the alloy gear plate and brake plates mounted in. Much better. My gears are smooth now. I'll deanno the stuff later. I also drilled holes in the gear cover and put mesh over the holes. Gives it air and keeps the rocks out. I did have a stripped thread for the top left gear cover but I ran a longer bolt and it caught threads. I added a nyloc nut to the top 2 bolts on the back side.

took the pipe off as my vrc will be here any day now

Pipe arrived today from the boys at Largescale rc. That was pretty fast all things considered. I'll be ordering more from these guys for sure.

anyway, a test fit of the mcd vrc pipe here. I'll have to cut a hole in the side of the body and make a mount off the chassis. No exhaust gasket came with the pipe and header though, which I find odd. I used some high heat form a gasket on the stock one I took off (motor never ran anyway) so should be fine. I really think this will work out good.. I have some angle iron to cut but I'll dig around and see what else I can find to make a mount off the chassis

I used an endpiece from the side rails to make the bracket. 3 holes later, tin snips and files. The chassis bolt has a nyloc nut, then and FG bearing spacer, then the channel. I cut one side a bit around the radio box. I needed some weak points since it had to be twisted a bit. Cut a hole in the body for the exhaust...

Was a really cold day, late afternoon. I ran the car first time today. That VRC pipe makes huge power. I richened the needles a couple times because it was so cold but I never got over half throttle today... car handles really well out of the box (there was frost on the pavement and chunks of ice around

all was well until the front right lower bolt stripped out of the knuckle... I had removed the other side and noticed the stripped threads from over tightening so I shoe goo'd it one. guess I will have to fix this one now... driving, impressed. ripping a screw out like that, not very

looking good pipe,,,you keep putting it through its paces because I'm seriously thinking about getting one in the spring. i have that sport line but i want a 4wd.........hey got snow yet up there...we got about 4'' now still coming down....

I'll be pushing the limits. Rich posted another video where my wheel fell off. I was looking at FG front knuckles to see if they would fit as I was expecting these to strip out allready hehe. wheel nut is sitting on the table. same size as the fg ones so I had a bunch with me.

if you see how easy the semi spun out on the slippery pavement (I was able to put it into a drift at any speed today hehe) but the rally was so controlled. I could just counter steer and keep the throttle going and it went that way.

I have changed nothing from stock as far as setup. I mostly wanted to do figure 8's to break in the difs. Once I have some room to open it up yeehaw. that pipe makes this stock 23 scream

Yeah I love the victory pipe..that is the only pipe I will use....
Now you put that pipe on a 26cc..it will rip...but the victory pipe was really made for the 27.2cc engine.....on that 27.2 cc it will shread the tires.......
Yeah once you get it dialed in It will be a haul a$$ car.....But running in the cold ya have to fatten up the fuel a little(rich).....I want to hear more on the pipe as you get it
dialed in.......Glad ya like it do far...Slawhammer

I richened it 3 times from stock today. and was still lean.. you sold me on these pipes Roger. I can't get over what it did to this 23 and it's still new. can't wait to finally drive the vw. it has a 26 with the vrc.. the samba did help the semi, I'll get it figured too, and it has it's own sound but I really like the sound from the vrc. it's so deep and rich
