i have two trevor simpson reed motors and i can tell you that they are killer engines...if you want more torgueand high end rpm it is the best solution...It all depends on the pipe you will use for best results....another good engine with reeds is the bzm motors....search youtube you will see many videos with reed motors and i am posting my first test on my monster truck...

yes the reed cases go well,seen lotes of videos of them,the reed valves don't give the same power.
was you running the engine in on this video? from what i understand a pp has better take off then reed motor?? but reed has better torque/rpms?

not sure why his rig in the vid seemed anemic. ive seen those fg's and mcd's doing wheel stands forever. maybe over geared.

reed motors have more punch off the line depending on porting. any motors bottomend can be killed by porting. to high a ex-port timing and transfer work can be altered to asist in higher rpms and less bottomend grunt. as a rule though, a reeder is better in all areas of the powerband.

bzm engines are soft on the bottomend, just so you know.

it was in the break in proccess and sometimes i gave full throttle as you can understand . It is 4wd and yes i was the driver...after some rpms the car can not be controlled it is like not having steering at all . I will shoot a new video when i have time running it on road and not sand...last time i drove on road 2 tires went off the rims and one teared apart...The car is full alloy and has center - back - front differential alloy cases and weights 23 kilos without car body . The vrc pro pipe i use is for high end and more rpms....for bottom end you need to use another pipe . Fg monsters and other monster 1/5 rc's have ...i don't know how to tell this ...the engine is at the back and 2wd and about 14 kilos.The purpose for me was to make it bullet proof and not to have problems and fixing all the time. What do you mean by pp?
