Hi there, i was just wondering do i need to replace the diff gasket if I am just opening it up just to check there is oil in it?

Is it just a case of filling with oil and sealing it back up again?

Is it a wise decision to do this on a new baja?

This is a good idea as its part of maintenance, they're a aluminium casing filled with a correct amount of oil and sealed with a oil ring/0ring and not a paper gasket ect so its very easy to seal back up again

It's a hpi baja.

Ok so I will definitely check it.

Also it is brand new, I still haven't run it. Would I still need to replace the gasket ?

I'm hoping not as I haven't used it yet.

Thanks

Wont hurt to check the oil level even tho its new also the Gasket should be fine to use again but it also cheap enough to replace
