Well here's the story,my 5ivet has stock motor with outer wares on air filter and pull start and a Bartolone big bore pipe.when it's cold it is very hard to start(20)or so pulls while choking it at the same time.so I pulled plug to see if I have spark and I do..plug was also a bit wet as it should be..when I do get it running when it's cold it runs great super fast with my pipe..as soon as it hits 160 degrees it wants to shut down like it's not getting fuel,I watched the fuel lines as it idles today and seen that the primer ball on carb goes completely dry and the black lower hose on carb collapses like a vacuum is sucking the lower hose shut.it is pinching the hose right at the fitting on carb.there is fuel in yellow hose going to top but it's not circulating through..tomorrow I'm going to swap out the poop stock fuel lines and see if this fixes the problem..anyone else have this issue or could it be something else?also today I rebuilt the carb thinking it was all gummed up but it was squeaky clean inside.still put new parts in and cleaned really well.please help....I don't know why it won't run when it gets a little warm...that's all I could find..thanks everyone.

The gas tank cap is Stoped up there is 3 vent holes in it drill them out bigger and put back to together the rubber in side of it it spins out to take it apart
That will fix it also it should help starting when cold if not richen up low speed jet it's to lean

Ok thanks,I'm new to 1/5 so low speed is to rich?witch way do I turn? Towards the motor or towards the carb?

Thanks guys hope this solves my issues...I'm thinking about getting rid of stock cap cause I was doing some reading and I guess this is a common problem and reeks havoc on ur fuel system!

And also would it be a good idea to run fuel filters on the lines?like nitro?or I don't need it?

Glad to hear you're back running Bryan! I drilled out the cap on mine today, and got the new tygon on it...pissing the neighbors off I'm sure, but it's running like a banshee

.....another easy fix is to check that you don't tighten down the gas cap to the point that you need a wrench to get it off. Glad to hear you are back up and running.
