still haven't managed to try out the new axles, went from soaking wet straight to 25deg+ and sun, so took my boat out instead:sailor: . everywhere was a dust bowl after 2 days so kinda parked until the next rain ..

trouble is you run it for 20ft and then have to wait 10mins for the dust to clear, it clogs filters solid in 5mins...come to learn here that summer is not rc friendly unless you have a water tanker

i forgot to grab a couple of used rampageMT tires from Scott a couple of weeks ago when i was there...i only have 2 serviceable ones on my shelf, then i can at least drive it..golf course would be nice

so far the ring and pinions are holding up but it's only had a tank thru it so far but considering i've snapped the axles twice and stripped gears then they weren't the weakest link...now i've strengthened the axles and welded up the shaft flats we'll see how the pinions hold up next time out....

for your build with the weight of a 170cc motor and heavy tires etc i'd look for maybe something a bit beefier, something in module 2.5 or 3...

TBO I've had nothing but good service from Vancouver hobbies, Scott is a good friend of mine so am surprised you had a problem.

did u weld up the flat on the pinion gear to moo

no, i didn't do the front spool shaft yet either but haven't had any problems up front, i'm still using grub screws to retain the drive shaft onto the pinion shaft.
had plenty of rain recently so will hit the hill in the next few days

good luck bro hope it all goes well.don't know how true this is but i heard that on 1:1 trucks the front gearing is geared a small amount higher so the front pulls alittle bit faster than the rear to remove unnessary load between the front and rear fighting against each other .sounds logical
