Read the article in the link Doug. The vids were so you can understand how the carb works. And how it isnt dependent solely on what's going on in the tank. The tank should freely vent to atmosphere. Save for a roll over for the sake of not getting fuel everywhere.

I run my weed eater upside down for vertical edging ,I had probably changed that vent out twice in the 15 year period of
running that weed eater ,if I was just cutting brush ,I wouldn't have cared ,but when your doing fancy homes ,the 2 stroke
gas will stain the grass & side walks!

Most weedwacker / chain saw vent work off the tank pulling slight vaccum so they don't leak. Turn it upside down with the engine off it will leak. Stihl used to use a small length of fuel line with a special grub screw in it to mitigate the loss of fuel, then moved to a goofy tank vent contraption. Pic 1 is a mantis tiller powered by an echo engine. Look familiar? Same sort of breather we use.

So if I'm reading this correctly then the only people who got it right was Snappy because their vent let's air both in and out but they also supply a check ball to prevent spillage in the event of a rollover. I wonder why the TLR is different? Or is mine messed up? How does yours work Doug?

It should let air in. Ok here look. Standard cap (my hole is plugged because I run the snappy fuel kit) the rubber has a hole in it, then theres what I will call the baffle, then theres another hole in the cap to vent to atmosphere.

Isn't that the vent to the right of the picture? Seems they had changed the fuel tanks a little in a picture from what I remember seeing.

Could be an issue with it? Found the parts list, but they don't call out a separate part number for just the vent. Thought that was odd. And they didnt have an exploded view of just the cap/fittings/vent
