Hi I was just posting to find out about clutches. I have a 1/5 rovan Baja and I was wanting to find out some information about some adjustable clutches that are out there. Are they worth the money compared to normal 2 shoe springed clutches? If so what are the best ones or which ones would you guys recommend.
thanks.

Welcome bud?
I have an alx 70mm adjustable clutch was quite expensive
There are other 54mm adjustable clutches but most of the forum run 2 shoe zen or cy , rovan or fs clutches?
Thanks mate, so In your opinion is it worth spending all the money for one or do the 2 shoe clutches work just fine?
I too wondered about the adjustable clutches. I considered one but the consensus seems to be its unnecessary.?‍♂️
That’s fair, I just thought I’d find out before I decided to spend so much

Go get an fs clutch with the 8k spring. Will likely be the last clutch you'll ever need. The adjustable clutches are great if you race, but honestly the same can be achieved by swapping springs, and you need to tear them out to work on them anyway. So why bother with having nuts, and screws to mess with or worry about coming loose?

Only since yours is a zen clutch. When it burns out get an fs
Ill take a pic of my fs clutch when I get time. The bluing on it from heat is bad, and shoes are wearing very unevenly due to what I guess is warping. I cant help but feel a 3-4 shoe upgraded clutch would be a nice improvement.?‍♂️ especially on heavier rigs like my mtxl. One day im gonna get that snapper clutch and try it.

I just left my stock clutch on my zenoah 32 in my 5t 2.0 but I ordered 8k springs from Dave's.

I've seen the really high dollar adjustable clutch but I don't do any racing so I can't justify it ??‍♂️

We have a bunch of threads about the snapper clutch crapping out. I cant in good conscience advise it. I also can't say for sure why an fs clutch would wear unevenly. The blueing is more or less normal, to an extent. Before they fully engage there is a bit of drag on the bell which will heat up. But a normal clutch friction material will do this as well. Just the friction material wears down a bit.
Post up some pics of your if you get the chance.
