Dear New Members,
If you are thinking of getting into 5th scale go with the Losi 5 T 2.0.
Add a good tuned pipe and you are good to go.
Don't forget a kill switch.
Don't get crazy looking at Vekta 5's or other brands.
Stick with a proven winner and save yourself the aggravation.
Members will agree this is good advise for new people getting into 5th scale.
5th scale is not a hobby, it is a downsized real vehicle that can cause lots of damage and injuries and lawsuits.
Trust me I know, I hit a car costing me $900.00.

I agree with you, definitely NOT A TOY! OR CHEAP!!!! also, if ur on a snaller budget, a Rovan/king motor Baja is a good starter 1/5
My last post I failed to do my research on cheap 5th scale Trucks and Buggies.
What I found I did not like.
No one should go into 5th scale with their eyes closed.
5th scale is not for rookies.
I found cheap RTR 5th scale at around $600.00.
Two channel controller, which means no kill switch (Danger Will Robinson).
Crap carburetors and really off brand motors and more crap to much to list.
If money is a issue, buy a good used Losi 5 T.
Buy cheap means to throw away $600.00, that's not cheap.

I am just speculating that you did not start out in 5th scale.
Possibly your history was 1/10 scale electric, than maybe 1/8 scale nitro and then 5th scale gas.
I went from 1/8 nitro and graduated to 5th scale gas knowing all the issue ahead of me hoping 5th scale would be less problematic.
I would never go back to 1/8 scale, I consider them to problematic.
Anyways I am happy for you that you are satisfied with your 5th scales.

Horses for courses, each to their own and all that.

We do what suits our means.

I started out with 1/10 scale Tamiya and HPI as a teenager. Then did nothing but drool until I was in my thirties. Then I went mad and blew all my spare cash on 1/5th scale. I put them away then rag them out.

Time is a fickle mistress.
