Hi guys :)

Thought it be a good idea to start a topic with tips for our largescales, im sure between us all we have many tips to share, so i'll start it off with a couple!

I have an FG but these tips might work with others too..

Stock Brakes
Replace the small piece of petrol fuel tubing that is used for the cushion with Nitro fuel tubing, its much softer & makes your stock brakes more responsive.

Air Filter
When applying oil to air filter, i found the easiest (less messy!) way is to pop the air filter foam into a sandwich bag (or similar) then put a few drops of filter oil (i use Tornado filter oil) into the same bag then just squeeze/squash the bag around with the filter & oil inside, this spreads the oil all around your air filter. End result, oil free hands, fully lubed filter! :)

Rear Anti-Roll Bar (FG Monsters only: MB Pro/MT/ST etc)
A common problem i often hear is that there Monster's suspension is too stiff, Now this is hit & miss, for some its worked wonders, for others... no change. The rear anti-roll bar can limit the rear suspension making it stiff which effects the whole stability of your monster, especially when turning. Removing this can help ALOT, for my self & others it made our monster handle 100% better! :)

oki over to you guys! :)

Super glue M8 penny washers to your lexan shell where the mounting points are to stop the shell splitting & coming loose. I think there is a pic of mine in my album

Thanks mate. If I ever get out of this, erm, Paradise actually!!, I'll give it a go!!
Al.

That was advise from the guys at ross mods who race 5th's. They reckon ditch the rear anti rollbar but fit the front 1 to help round the corners. Seems to work well on my marder :cool2:

Use hot glue and plastic from ice cream tubs....to repair split body shells.....works really well, been doing it years and gives the bodys alot longer life.

nice tips mate, id like to add 1 if I may.

FG MT. when removing rear diff do not remove the swing arms. unbolt rear turnbuckle where it bolts to the upright and remove it that way. much easier and quicker.

some nice tips here already! :D

hmm, might be good to have this stickied!?

that way its easy to find for people who looking for some tips etc :)

I found that if you remove the rear roll bar it tends to wallow around corners. I think the bar is 5mm thick(maybe wrong) but I have replaced mine with a 3mm and it handled alot better.

Here's another one for you
Nearly everyone has wall mounted LCD TV's.I took the old wall bracket off my bedroom wall and mounted it in the man cave to act as a stand! As it articulates allot there's no need to keep picking your car up to turn it around.I put mine at chest height for ease of access to the car.
