Totally Baffled About Bogging Engine

I'm going to toss this out there. In the history of carburetors you have never been told to fatten a jet up to start an engine period. When you are running a race carb it is expected that you will be giving the engine some sort of aid to start. A squirt of gas down the car, a shot of either. The list goes on. When we raced 4 cyl dirt modified we ran a chokeless carb. We had a little bottle full of gas we used to get it started. We did not keep messing with the jets. This is bad form and I have cringed everytime some one mentioned it. Stop being filled by the claimed of more power from a 990 over the 1107. The choke makes life way easier. To those of you that engine starts without a choke, grand I happy to hear it, your lucky. Most engines wont.
