I have rebuilt lots of TR clutches and never saw this much discoloring.Did I roast this clutch or just the disks.
Lots of blue and purple on the disk.
Breaking the whole thing down later...see what else is blue....and or purple..
Anyone have experience with the TR Snapper clutch?
Is it "safe" to keep using this or is it time to replace the disks?
and...
What might cause this to happened (heat...obvious answer), but why?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

I would tare it down burnish the plates make sure the weights wiggle and use anti seize grease on the heels of the weights.
Tight down basket. The starting point per directions is to screw down the spring screws until they stop, it should engage at 6000 rpm.
Break it in conservatively, after that you can adjust the spring screws to your liking.
