Transmission bolts

So, I had to drill out a bolt on the transmission. Do you all think five bolts is just as good as six or drill it and tap it to put the sixth one in?

You want maintain the structural integrity.

Yeah, I drilled and taped it.

Why don't you have a bolt extractors?

Didn't have any because they were all broke and this particular bolt had half a bottle of locktite ?

Yes you should go easy on the loctite ? next time use heat ? and even if it dose break just drill a small hole and use an extractor so you can save you threads?

After the first few bolts I learned that I start to go a little heavy on the locktite ? and after this mess, I bought an extraction set .

I put loctite on drive pins and nothing else

Really? I always would put it on when bolts/screws go into metal parts.

Nah I don't??? just the drive pin grub screws??
