Turtle Racing Quick Diff

Hello All,
I need some advice please. I have purchased a Turtle Racing quick Diff and an upgraded diff assembly. The assembly does not fit snuggly in the housing and it is not just a small amount. I have included photos. I'm assuming that I need to use my dremel tool to shave some material off the housing. I have also read about another guy who shaved down the bearings. I don't know how he done that and kept them round. I am also waiting for a Fast Eddy bearing kit. Not sure if the right size bearings are included in that kit and if they are, whether they are slightly smaller. But even if the outside diameter of the bearings are made smaller, the assembly will still need some metal shaved off. Has anyone else had this problem or heard of it. You will see that the assembly will fit snuggly in one half but not in the other half of the diff case.

sum rovan diff housings r slighty bigger then stock hpi ones ?which the tr quik case was ment for ?

you can shave a bearing down to a square and it will be fine as long as you don't create a hole inside

+1 rovan is not compatible with tr/hpi

^ what they said! Rovan sucks, and often their poop is bigger or smaller by a mm or two or just plain machined poopy.

The different size is how they avoided copyright infringement lawsuit. You CAN make something similar but not exact as the item your copying.
I just happen to know firsthand...?

a few on here have found out the daft rovan size difference☹ but not necessarily involving the tr qd?

Is the bearing seated all the way down ? What the other guys said is true about the Rovan dif not quite fitting. I know the stock Rovan diff fit very tight in the TR quick change case but it did fit. What you're showing though that looks like the bearings aren't seated. Who made that dif. Is it a Rovan or some other clone company?
