I hope so I have busted 2 of the ones out of the upgrade kit I bought a few weeks back. So I only have 2 spares left but have to wait to see what happens with the motor before I can do any running. No spare motor to use right now :(

ive had mine for a little over a month and after some bad jumps and full speed 4 wheel lockups, i haven't seen any wear or or breakages

i broke a diff cup on the the new pro v3 with the 30cc fuelie but they held up for a while seems the only problems i have is mostly those pins snapping well more and less falling out have had to replace those alot of times untill i locktightened them now i just finally broke the diff cup but thats probly just my bad luck lol

What probably happened is if the pins had previously been falling out before being loctited, they were probably rubbing the crap out of the inside of the cup before falling completely out of it. Which likely caused it to weaken and then eventually break.

I just had the diff cup break on the V3 and prior to it breaking it had the pin fall out of teh cv on that cup. I replaced the cv witha spare one and was of messing around for a few minutes and the cup broke in half. So it could be and indication of something bad is going to happen to the cup if you loose a pin.

Old thread but I was searching for options on differential cups.

Not really....Usually when the pin falls out it means the set screw went slack and when this happens the pin starts to creep until it falls out, so it does not displace the load evenly across the diff cup, therefore the load is being applied to one side of the cup creating stress and it would eventually crack or break. So when you put the new pin in it could have been cracked already.

I had the pin fall out of the center dog bone last week. It didn't have a set pin for it and that cup is holding up fine. I put a 4mm Cap head bolt and nut on it for now.
