Honestly I passed by it last time I was on deal of the day because I didn't like the o ring. Well it is a poop way to hold a pin in.

so one pin gets held in behind the spur gear which is good and the other for the rear driveline gets held by that o ring.

I'll have to check im just hoping once the ring goes on I can get it off. Im starting to like the set screw idea more and more lol
 
Looks similar to this not really expensive. Trust me once you see how nice they work, you'll use them more. And they are relatively cheap

Edit, thinking about it, you can use a flat screwdriver to pop them in and out, or just get a regular snap ring. The tabs shouldnt really get in the way of anything, and they are cheap enough and wouldnt fail. The wire retention rings would really just look a bit cleaner imo.
 
Agreed @crucialRC I bought 2 packs of stainless zipties from auto zone for 2 bucks a pack i guess nobody wanted them lol. I was going to use them but then got concerned with an imbalance
