I've ordered and used both. In my experience the FLMLF was way cheaper, and the Walbro just starved for fuel, cut off every time after forcing gas in. Is there a real quality difference here, or is this a name brand thing? I'm just looking for best. P.S. I pulled the Walbro and replaced with the FLMFL, fired right up ran like a champ. Both new in box.
I documented the build here, you can see the car stall out in the end. Carb swap happened post production.

Next step would be to pop the Walbro back on the bench and check the metering lever height and spring. Walbros often ship with a stiffer spring, which works on some setups but can starve fuel on others especially on larger engines or setups that want more flow. Swapping to a lighter spring or matching the FLMFL spring) usually fixes exactly what you’re describing. While you’re in it , double-check the metering diaphragm orientation and make sure the lever is flush with the carb body. No harm in doing a pressure test either to rule out a sealing issue too
