What are you using for a chassis wrap?

I just recently got the Rcmax MTXL chassis and the darn thing is so nice it’s got me thinking of putting a protector on the bottom to help try and save the billet. Just wondering what you guys are using ? Seems like the high end ones on eBay go for $80 and are around 23-25 mil in thickness. Any thoughts? Thanks

Not a darn thing. I don't worry to much about how my stuff looks, as long as ut functions well. My dbxl has 5 diffrent colors of alloy on it, a real miss matched mutt of a rc. I can't imagine any wrap would really offer much protection anyway

X2, I don't buy into the "this sticker will make your chassis stay like new" theory either. At most it would save it for a bit, then need replaced. And at $80.00 a pop it really wouldnt take too many of them to equal another chassis. Best thing to do imo, is make a big ole skid plate for the bottom. I would either say another hunk of aluminum, or some plastic. Either way would be better and give lasting results over a wrap.
Ps. I've had my dbxl 4 or 5 years. Bought it used. And the chassis is still just fine. Just put the skid plates to protect the front rear and the gear that sticks down

Wraps r a waste of money imo?...yeah they look bad ass once fitted?...after a few runs egde start to lift n get dust under em?....then few tanks in they look shite...?...a under chassis warp..pointless imo?....unless it sits on a shelf looking pretty yeah go for it.. .?..rcmax do a proper chassis skid for there 5ive chassis as im considering one ?...did they not do one for the mt chassis?
I fitted the joffer skids on my mt?

What everyone else said, complete waste of money if you actually run you truck, it s a overpriced sticker with a design on it ? if you really want a skid plate, make one outta aluminum or plastic like Sean said ?

Sean. No offense taken. That’s why I asked as I haven’t utilized a skid plate or wrap so thought I would ask I like the skid plate idea, does someone offer them for sale or is it a straight custom job? If I cut a piece of plastic, how would you attach it? Thanks again.

Truth be told I don't know if someone makes a full skid plate, I would make my own. And either utilize some longer screws in holes in the chassis, or put a few in if my own to bolt the plate on with. (Countersunk of course)
