View attachment 9612My KM was a Dark Knight 5B all aluminum.
Converted it to a 5T. DDM Dominator V2 pipe. Walbro 990 carb. Hostile MX tires. Silver back beadlocks. Wrapped foams. Kraken stuff. TSK cage. Kraken front bumper. Turtle Racing aluminum quick change differential. Vertigo gear plate/easy access clutch unit. DDM Black Magic 57T with Vertigo 17T gears. Vent gas tank and air filter. Outerwear under engine wrap and the pull start filter. TSK body panels with DDM graphics package. Spare tire carrier in the mail to complete the look. New engine. A couple of things left to do and she is ready to bash hard!

That's hot!

Ok, I've been replacing parts and made some sort of panels for my TC cage. Here's the result:

Parts: RPM arms front and rear. Fronts are used, rears are new. Axle protectors, home made pull start extension and HPI brake discs.

I am thinking about selling mine. I find that I really like building. I still have my Rampage MT. But I really like putting these things together. Except tires....I hate tires.

Yep. Selling it.

Brand new. Never been on the ground.

Did this today.....no other damage...oh well lol explains why steering kept needing trim and front looks like twisting.

Mhmm not sure, I have a 80% complete rovan sitting in box that came with it. May just use that chassis unless I change mind.

That's the cheapest way for sure but the updated chassis from Kraken, Scorpion and Innnovative RC look quite nice don't they? ;)

I bought the scorpion satin for mine,, fit was nice in general,, holes were too small for the pin mounts for the tank, radio box and cage for a buggy, had to drill slightly larger,, if u want to polish the satin one,, its a pain in the butt,, all those fine scratches in the finish,, crap load of sanding,, and the there front braces and bumper skid plate for the 5t are on sale too,,, im thinking scorpion isn't making stuff anymore,,,

was xmas again today, ordered some stuff from ddm,, added a long modified rc bumper to rear to help protect the body,,, scorpion front bumper skid plate,, , ordered a ddm pull start cover in chrome, doesn't seem to fit fuelies or cy parts,,,, seems to be made for Zenoah parts,, has a square mount inside for a square center Zenoah washer,,,,, may just get the killer rc drill starter for it,, and be done.. did some other cosmetic things to it,, been looking at it,, its not really a king motor anymore with all my upgrades,,, mostly aftermarket now,, most parts are upgrading to hpi or aftermarket

I went into Baja ownership knowing that like everything else I own, I can't leave it stock. I have an 18 month plan that will see some pretty serious upgrades. I just have to get my daughter's wedding paid for, then I can do some ordering and have some fun. Since I like my Baja to look good on the bench, I have to find someone to paint a body for me.

Finally had some time and tossed mne back together. Ended up using the parts rovan chassis and spent the money on a killer rc killswitch , works awesome! Now I can go play again ;) .

New Motor

Well I installed my full mod gizmo motor with the vertigo easy access clutch system along with a 55/19 gear set. The compression on this motor is incredible compared to the km motor. Words just cannot do justice to the difference I thought it was fast before but now it goes like a cat with but on fire. I am really impressed with the vertigo system I know I will never shear another pinion gear off. Plus the venting to blow out the clutch dust and help cool the clutch is very well done. I will try to load some pics. Hope fully I can figure out how to load pics

putting on my new hpi rear bulkhead, I just got in the mail,,, with team chase shock towers,, installing the ddm black magic hardened gears into the turtle quick diff,, changing the drive gear to 19 vs the 20 to get some more bottom end with the 5t tires,, also adding the kraken rc stainless layshaft , the hemistorm brake hex and the craftworks spur gear carrier with a hostile gear,, should be pretty bullet proof now,,, new engine is probably next,, and a bigger wallet,, is there a group for hpi Baja aftermarket anonymous?? I may need to join....

I finally got mine fixed, last time out I broke a front shock tower support, one of the few parts I don't have spares for. Ordered up the hot racing ones. Still love the g290, even after sitting a month, still starts on the 2nd pull.

After putting mine back together and I decided to have some fun with it last night. For some reason it was horribly out of tune. I did some tuning and decided to go out and do some donuts with it. My daughter gets married in November and after that I'll be able to spend some money and build a super KM!!!
