Upgrade bug kinda got me again. What should I buy next for my 5t 2.0? I've already done chassis braces, full outerwears, basic air filter, DDM pipe, hitec servo, springs. I'm sure there's a couple more that I'm forgetting. I'm thinking shock & diff oils, spindles, linkages, gearing. Is everything available titanium part worth it, or just do it for high stress areas? At this time, I don't really feel like replacing bearings or diff housings. My only requirement is any aluminum be blue or black to keep with the theme.

Rcmax 71 supreme (y) :ROFLMAO:
Yeah, that's not happening. But I like where you're mind's at. If I'm dropping $5k (or whatever it costs) on an upgrade, it's gonna be put towards a supercharger for my truck.

Upgrading the engine a little bit or maybe an OBR is a possibility down the road, but not this year

Buy a better exhaust.. you will be absolutely amazed. Stock engine? If so get an esp top end kit from ddm. And gear up your pinion for more speed.. go with 50 wt shock oil front/rear. Lock up the center diff more to have more even power distribution... a billet air box from turtle racing is nice upgrade. Mud guards for the rear control arms is a good idea. If you don't have them already i highly recommend skid plates

Lol at first I thought you meant a supercharger for ur 5t 😅
It’s like 2.5k, but you will need to upgrade the truck to handle it

Already done skids. Still need to install the mud guards & high flow fuel lines. Also did full windows to keep grass & rocks out. I agree on upgrading the pipe again, but that can wait a bit. I'm not really trying to do engine stuff right now. I'm leaning mainly towards drivetrain & suspension.

The weight will depend on how you want it to drive. Do you want the back end to be loose and slide more or do you want to keep more control? I have 125k front locked center and 20 million in the rear and it handles well but I can get it to spin out and slide around.. fun for just bashing.
And yes stock spur with a 21t pinion

No offense but this is a dumb thread. You want ideas start looking through peoples build threads for ideas . Then go to DDM to check prices. Seems like you ask but when some suggests something you shoot it down.
I shot down the rcmax suggestion/joke, cause I'm not spending that kind of money + more for other upgrades to handle it. Declined to do a ported head cause I'm not trying to do engine work right now. Any engine work would probably be an OBR Reed case later on. I acknowledged needing a better pipe, but feel that money can go better elsewhere at the moment. Like I said in the 1st post, I knew there was some stuff I forgot about. Those were suggested by others & I said they're already done. I even said I'm wanting to stick with suspension & drivetrain to hopefully eliminate suggestions that wouldn't line up for what I wanna do this season. Everything else that has been said, I've asked for some clarification & open to.

This is my opinion. You are leaving alot of potential for the engine on the table with that dom pipe , yes I know I say it every post. And honestly unless your going to put a big bore in the truck upgrading the drive train and suspension is really just to say you have it. I have a 34cc esp in my 5t 2.0 and it doesn't beat up on the drive train.

I would suggest better brakes after that I don't really have much more to suggest unless you just want bling parts on it 🤷‍♂️

Good & fair point. Guess I didn't think of it that way

Yep thats how I looked at it. (y)
You can use rcr brakes on it that were ment for the v1 5t and all you need to do is just drill the copper pads a little bigger for the larger brake pad screws on the 2.0.

Also you said basic air filter is it still the stock one? I'd recommend changing to a better one as the stock one isn't all that great and can let dust enter into the engine. @DougStar had that issue on his losi 5b

I think it's a spyder filter I put in. Black body, wire mesh, maybe 2" tall, 4" diameter. Also did velocity stack with it, don't think I upgraded insulator at that time.
I agree on doing something with the brakes, but 1st gonna swap the old steering servo to throttle & see how that does
