Kreb,No,there was no alteration to the stock can and get the SS pipe,if you buy an X-Can they will restrict your engine.
Trip, the Pajero would pull wheelies without the shell on and that was one hell of a heavy shell(fibre glass)
Alan,Deeside is like the after effects of a nuclear war now, just baron land.

to what ive read about the x-can, they add very little (if any!?) performance wise.

They are the closest thing to running the motor without an exhaust. Running with the Xcan will get you that extra down low power that the small stock can does not.
A tuned pipe is the only thing that will allow you to get added boost from exhaust gasses.
The SS pipe is not much of a tuned pipe due to its expansion size.

I had a Xcan and was not impressed. I also had issues with the exhaust tubes (Stingers?).
I also ran the SS pipe and was not impressed.

Kreb do you have both of them?

Lunatik had a bunch of dynos on all this but cannot find them anymore?

i'm going to get the cpi or dom this spring. i have an xcan and a ss pipe right now. the xcan was on the firehammer and i made a turn out so the exhaust would run out the side and the ss was on the baja. the fhammer is being rebuilt with some better aluminum so it'll be down for awhile and i'm rebuilding the baja motor soon. thats why i was wondering if the xcan would've been better than the ss for that big of a bore. a buddy of mine had a cpi on his big bore and the term WOW is all i could say. i'm going to see if the wife will get that for my bday.lol

we have a baby on the way due around april 14. i could show her a picture of the pipe and try and tell her that it's a real cool baby rattle shaped to look like an exhaust pipe. but i have a feeling that it wouldn't work.lol maybe i should stick to flowers and groveling.
