why no fit right?

why do the black gears not fit right on the IRC super diff cup sets ? the black magic gear from DDM and the gear from Detroit performance . I had to grind to fit BOTH kind. And also the bearing bores in the new R/C MAX CNC trans cases are super sloppy...at least the trans cases for the 5B HPI. 3 cases and all sloppy bearing fits. For this kind of money we dish out you would think things would fit better than rovan parts!!!!

Ypu may want to message rcmax if the bearings are sloppy.
 
I had to grind a touch off mount ears on gear itself. otherwise would of had to press onto cup assembly and the runout would have been too much. Now I have had 3 of these IRC diffs go this way on assembly. I have one more cup set from IRC but the hpi diff gear sets are now gone. clone gears do not play well with these IRCs. I might buy a beat the crap SS that is over town just for its gear set

No worries,I put 20mil in the center and I'm letting the others alone.I can't believe how stiff that 20mil made the center, can turn it by hand barely. Can't wait to try it out and see the difference from stock.
 
went over town today to get weeks worth of labatts and stopped and looked at the TRASHED 5B SS! all in a box still covered in mud/crap from years back and front tub bent straight up. Chas'in parked cars. He sold me the whole mess for $100.00 . The diff gears are still in great shape , So I got another IRC diff to build . the rest of car is way gone. from the look of it it's last run was in a cow poop covered field and then a high speed hit to front end, the cow crap has eaten the alum big time ......But I got the diff gear set I needed.
 
There is no HPI diff gears out there ! Clone gears just plain do not work right with IRC diff cup kits. The last set of factory HPI gears new in bag went on ebay for $180.00 at end of bidding! Wish RC MAX would pick this problem up and make some !!!!!!!!

I have km gears in my irc diff on the twin rig and they fit with no problems
 
Hey Coopgt , I know how you feel ! Clone gears do not work for me in the IRC cups! Seeing you are so close to me here in NY and I mean close , Maybe we could hook ya up with the right poop....... I HAVE GEARS.......NOT CLONES
and by the way we bought up a pile of the mini RX for the NB4 radio system.... Work great in our fast lipo boats! can let a few go to ya if ya need...
