+1 on the 4 bolt zen. I had nothing but.problems with my 2 bolt blowing out head gaskets....Cca said:Cy is going to be better, hy is a "knock off" of these and The plating on the cylinder walls known to not as good. I myself like to go with a four bolt head as well, helps with gaskets not blowing out. But some never have any issues in this department. I did on my cy and will never own a 2 bolt head again, this is just my opinion as others will say different on theirs.
Dude i torque to spec.i build diesel engines for a living.sometimes u get a bad head or bottom end i was tired of puttin in a head gasket every run so i just bought a 4 bolt zen.cheaper in the long run then if i bought a head kit and messed with it not to blow gaskets.but thats my opinion...rampagemt said:If you torque the headbolts on a 2 bolt right with a torque wrench there's zero issues and I run my trucks wot unroll they break but the motors still run with zero issues
I think your right. Once you have problems blowing head gaskets four bolt is the way to go. But it is all in your own preference torque or not some just eat gaskets up for lunch. But if your lucky and you have a good one hang on the two bolt and savor itIldy666 said:Dude i torque to spec.i build diesel engines for a living.sometimes u get a bad head or bottom end i was tired of puttin in a head gasket every run so i just bought a 4 bolt zen.cheaper in the long run then if i bought a head kit and messed with it not to blow gaskets.but thats my opinion...
